John has nearly 40 years experience in working in compliance, systems, management and financial consultancy. He is currently the Partner in charge of the Moore Stephens offices in Dubai and Oman. He provides direction and leadership in the consulting that the firm is engaged, and is Chairman of Moore Stephens Middle East. He has about 30 years Middle East experience, of which 25 have been in the Gulf region. He is therefore familiar with the regional business environment and economy and well positioned to ensure these are understood and taken into account.

With Moore Stephens and with the firm he had worked for previously for some 11 years (Ernst and Young), he has developed a wide range of expertise. He has expertise in a wide range of businesses including shipping, banking, industrial, construction, contracting, insurance, financial service companies, oil and gas and others. He is also experienced in systems consultancy, business strategy studies, business valuations, and in project consultancies (including coordinating specialized technical studies and assessing the commercial viability of the projects). He was also involved in dealing or advising the regional governments on privatization issues relating to agricultural, banking, port, and hotel institutions.

John has lead teams in compiling and advising on policies and procedures manuals for a wide range of companies, including shipping agents, ship management, and ship owning companies. The manuals covering a wide range of material including accounting, risk management, human resources, corporate governance, codes of conduct, operating, treasury, purchasing, corporate and customer relations etc.
